If you have an iPod Photo and have come up against this error when synchronising with iTunes, try this:
- In iTunes, open the iPod properties window.
- Switch off synchronisation of photographs
- Synchronise your iPod then disconnect it (it will ask if you want to delete all you photos... say yes)
- Reconnect your iPod and switch photo syncronisation back on.
- Update your iPod
I only mention this because I trawled the Internet for about an hour and could find much worth reading on this rather obscure error.
If that fails, I suggest reformatting your iPod.
