The Home Office has been rebuked by MPs for failing to properly answer Parliamentary Questions.

Government departments must explain fully if they refuse to answer MPs' questions. MPs said the Home Office failed to in nine out of 10 cases.

"We are particularly concerned that the Home Office has been such a poor performer," a report from the Commons Public Administration Committee said.

The Home Office said its record was good considering the number of queries.
