Postal votes are great

BBC NEWS | Election 2005 | Election 2005 | Postal voting situation 'serious'

Officials have expressed concern over the implications of postal voting, as more problems emerge around Britain.

In North Wales, officials say they have received over 50 calls about envelopes not sticking, while in Lancashire, 16,000 papers are having to be resent.

Meanwhile, a woman in Shropshire has said her firm received 14 completed votes meant for the returning officer.

The leader of returning officers said the voting situation was "very serious" and due to a "19th-Century" system.

8 month old babies being registered...
Numbers that don't match...
Envelopes that don't stick...
Royal Mail send them to the wrong address anyway...

If they don't like where you stick your X then they probably won't count it.
But they will take into account the 13 people you have living in your kitchen cupboard (hiding behind the salt).

What a great system! Where do I sign up?

Don't worry... there are only 6 million people who have signed up for postal votes. It's not as if that many people can affect the outcome of the election.
